Is Bank PO Exam tough?

Oct 13, 2015 18:24 IST

Bank Probationary Officer is a lucrative post in a banking organization that offers a good future and an opportunity to turn the career into the right path. PO examination is taken up by Indian Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) every year, for its member and participatory banks around the nation. Along with IBPS, State Bank of India and Reserve Bank of India (RBI) too conducts recruitment for the probationary officer posts around the nation. The PO examination consists of prelims and mains written examination. The candidates need to at first clear the prelims examination with scoring the cut off marks. After the prelims examination the candidates need to go through the mains examination clearing which would led them to personal interview round, which is the final round of selection for the post.

One of the biggest job generators for the economy: Over the years, thousands of candidates have moved towards banking sector and have decided to make their career in this particular arena. Due to lack of job opportunities and a severe market crisis in private sector many aspiring young students are moving towards banking opportunities that allows the candidates to apply for bank Clerk and Probationary officer posts after passing Graduation Degree from any recognized university/institute. This fierce number of increase with every passing year has made it difficult for the candidates to get through easily to these posts. The recruitment body which had conducted only one written examination a few years back, has now have to opt for two tier written examination format in order to eliminate the candidates who couldn’t score the enough cut off marks through the rounds. The level of questions also gets a little tough over the prelims to that of the mains examination.

Regular practice and positive approach: Though, the proper amount of regular practice and a positive approach towards the examination can land up the candidates getting the job. It is advisable to make sure that the preparations for the examination are in line with the guidelines provided by our website. Following these guidelines would allow the candidates to prepare easily and give them the adequate confidence required to go for the examination. The candidates can feel the questions to be a little tough from the bank clerical level, but a proper practice and optimistic attitude, learning new tricks and techniques, following expert advices and making the best of their time, they can eventually get through with the examination and secure their position as Probationary officer in banks all over the nation.
