The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2017 [JEE (Advanced) 2017] will be conducted by the seven zonal Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) 2017. Information brochure regarding the exam dates of JEE Advanced-2017 has been released by the IIT, Madras. The performance of a candidate in this examination will be the basis for admission to the various programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in IITs and the Indian School of Mines (ISM).
From 2013 onward, the Indian Institutes of Technology - Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) has been replaced by the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) or JEE (Advanced) as the common entrance exam for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes offered by all Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad.

Dates for JEE MAIN-2017 have been declared. Candidates are advised to check and complete all the formalities of JEE Advanced 2017 in the prescribed time period. Time duration of all the events will be exactly as per JEE Advanced 2017 important dates.
Only the top 1.5 lakh students who qualify the JEE (Main) will be eligible to take the JEE (Advanced) exam. The JEE (Main) is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Recently, the IIT Council has approved the proposal of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) to change the JEE Advanced 2017 eligibility criteria to top 20 percentile or 75 per cent marks in the Class XII board exam, whichever is lower.
