JEE Main 2018: Results to be declared today, then what to do next?

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will declare the results for the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) Paper I today. The board will also announce the list of candidates eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced Exam.
This year, 2,24,000 candidates will qualify to take the JEE Advanced 2018 which will be held on  20 May (Sunday).

CBSE will announce the scores for JEE Main Exam 2018 Paper II on 31 May 2018.

Given below is the stepwise procedure to download your score card:

  • Go to the official website, jeemain.nic.in
  • Click on the 'JEE Mains Results 2018' link on the hompage
  • Enter your roll number and date of birth in the space provided
  • Click on submit button
  • Results will be displayed on the screen
  • Download or take a printout of the JEE Main 2018 result for future reference

Now what’s next?

JEE Advanced Exam 2018

All those candidates who will successfully clear the JEE Mains 2018 will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam. The registration process for JEE Advanced will begin on 2 May, 2018. The examination for JEE Advanced will be held on May 20, 2018 which will be conducted in fully computer based test mode.

The JEE Advanced 2018 will be conducted by the IITs . The performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the IITs. 

JEE Advanced 2018 Examination Schedule:

The examination consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, each of three hours duration and will be held as per the following schedule:

Candidates who will clear JEE Main 2018:

In case of candidates who will not be able to clear JEE Advanced 2018, their All-India rankings in JEE Main will be used for admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs), Self-Financed Institutes (SFIs) and other institutes.
