The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration for JEE Main 2020 from 3rd September, 2019. NTA will conduct the first session of JEE Main from 6th January to 11thJanuary, 2020, while the second session of the exam will be held from 3rd April to 9thApril, 2020. Candidates can apply for the primary level test for entrance to renowned institutions like IIT’s, CFTI’s, NIT’s, online on or Last date to apply for JEE Main 2020 is September 30, 2019. JEE Main 2020 Registration: Steps to apply

  • Log on to the official website of JEE Main,
  • On the homepage, click on the activated link "Fill Online Application Form”.
  • Next page takes you to the login window of “January JEE (MAIN) 2020".
  • Login using your credentials and fill the form.
  • Upload the required documents and pay the application fee.
  • Click on submit button to file your application.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE (Main) 2020 Examination twice for admission to undergraduate programs in IITs, NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), etc., in the next academic year, 2020-2021. Examinations for both the sessions will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode only, except that the Drawing Test for B.Arch. will be held in Pen and Paper mode or offline mode.

Changed Examination Pattern:

Now, JEE Main 2020 will be conducted for three types of courses instead of two, B.E./B. Tech and B.Arch, covered in previous years. Third programme included is B. Planning. So, as per the eligibility criteria for B.Arch and B.Planning courses and according to the opinion of Subject Experts, a few changes in the pattern of the question paper(s) and number of question(s) for B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Planning have been approved by the JEE Apex Board (JAB) for the conduct of JEE Main 2020 Examination.

So, from JEE Main 2020, paper will have two types of questions in the exam – MCQ and numerical value type questions. However, the marking scheme remains unchanged. Students must lay down their preparation plans according to the latest examination pattern only.
