Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) postponed Common Entrance Test (CET 2012) for admissions to professional courses to 21 May 2012 due to unavoidable reasons

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) postponed Common Entrance Test (CET 2012) for admissions to professional courses, including Engineering, Medical and Dental courses in Karnataka. The exam will now be conducted from 21 May 2012 to 23 May 2012.

As per the press release issued by KEA, the CET 2012 was postponed due to unavoidable reasons. CET 2012 was earlier scheduled to be held on 3 May 2012 and 4 May 2012 and Kannada Language Test on 5 May 2012.

According to KEA new schedule, CET 2012 for Biology and Mathematics will be conducted on 21 May 2012 and for Physics and Chemistry on 22 May 2012. Kannada Language Test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates will be conducted on 23 May 2012.

The admission tickets for appearing in the above examination will be sent on or after 11 May 2012 and the results will be declared on 6 June 2012. Verification of documents at helpline centres will commence from 13 June 2012.

Important note for candidates appearing for BITS Pilani Examination on 21 May 2012 and 22 May 2012

Candidates who are appearing for BITS Pilani (BITSAT) online exam on 21 May 2012 and 22 May 2012 and the dates are clashing with CET 2012 are requested to send their details such as Admission Ticket Number, Name, Time Slot allotted, Date of exam, Batch Number, Residential Address etc to KEA email address keauthority-ka@nic.in to take up the matter with concerned officers at BITS Pilani.

BITSAT is scheduled to be conducted from 10 May 2012 to 9 June 2012.

Important note for candidates appearing for AIEEE on 19 May 2012 at Bangalore

Candidates appearing for AIEEE on 19 May 2012 and have opted for Bangalore centre may like to continue to write CET exam at Bangalore Centre. Such candidates will be allowed to take up CET exam at Bangalore Centre only, irrespective of the Centre mentioned in CET application form, if they intimate the Application Number, Name and other details to KEA admin office through email address keauthority-ka@nic.in
