Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (KRCL) invited applications for recruitment to 5 posts of Multi Purpose Health Worker with its Medical Department. Eligible land loser candidates, Employee of Konkan Railway and SC / ST candidates registered with the Employment Exchanges along Konkan Railway route within the jurisdiction of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (Raigad, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri Districts of Maharashtra; Goa State; and Karwar, Udupi and South Kannada Districts of Karnataka) can apply till 31 December 2012.
Land losers are those whose land has been acquired for Konkan Railway project and eligible land loser candidate include Self / Sons / Spouse / Unmarried daughters / Grandsons / Unmarried Granddaughters and direct descendent of land loser only.

Educational Qualification & Experience:
(10 +2) / HSC with Diploma in patient care / nursing from a recognized institution with practical experience in first aid dressing and primary health care. One year work experience in any hospital is essential.
Candidates appearing at and / or awaiting result are not eligible. Candidates with no work experience are not eligible.
Selection Procedure: Final Selection would be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in written examination, Interview and his / her clearing the Medical Examination.
Two separate panels – one for landloser candidates and another one for remaining candidates -- will shortlist candidates for the written examination from the applications received. [Priority for appointment will be given to landloser candidates and only after exhausting the panel of landlosers, the second panel (other than landlosers) will be operated depending upon the shortfall in the vacancies notified.]
Candidates qualifying the written examination will be called for Personal Interview.
Candidates qualifying in the Interview and with all clear records will be called for a medical examination, as per merit. The selected and medically fit candidates will be provisionally appointed based on the merit.
Medical Examination: The candidates will have to pass the prescribed medical examination as per railways standards to be conducted at the candidate’s cost by Konkan Railway Corporation’s Medical Authorities. The medically fit candidates will be considered for recruitment in KRCL.
Training: Selected candidates will undergo training for one year. On completion of training, candidates ‘performance will be assessed either through written test and / or any other means. Those clearing the assessment will be placed on probation for another year. Service of these candidates would be regularized after one year based on performance review.
Candidates will be paid a fixed stipend during training and probation period.
Posting: Selected candidates can be posted and transferred anywhere in the area of operation of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd, including its project sites.
