MAHCET 2019 registration has been extended by DTE Maharashtra for admission to the MBA Programme. Candidates willing to apply for the exam to seek admission in top MBA colleges of Maharashtra can now apply for the exam till Feb 18. The DTE Maharashtra has formally released the MAHCET 2019 Exam notification and announced the key dates and other important details such as MAHCET 2019 syllabus, MAHCET 2019 exam pattern.

The MAHCET 2019 registration process commenced on 10th January 2019. For detailed analysis and understanding of all key facts and important information about MAH-CET 2019 is given below.

MAHCET 2019 Important Dates

Along with the official MAH-CET 2019 notification, the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra or DTE Maharashtra has also notified all the key dates for the entrance test. The same has been listed in the table below to assist MBA aspirants.

According to the important dates announced, the MAH-CET 2019 registration period would begin in 10 January and end on 15 February. The MAHCET admit card would be available online for download on official website from 1st March onwards. The MAHCET 2018 exam would be held on two days i.e. 10th and 11th March with the result being announced on 31st March.

MAHCET 2019 Registrations

As stated above, the MAH-CET 2019 registration process has already begun from 10th January 2019. Candidates can visit the official website i.e. to register for the MBA entrance test online. This year, the exam application process has been made completely online and any application sent through post or courier would be rejected by DTE Maharashtra. The MAHCET online registrations would end on 15th February. The MAHCET MBA programme registration window appears like this:

MBA aspirants who are planning to apply for the MAHCET 2019 exam must remember that no documents are to be submitted at the registration stage. However, the directorate has advised candidates to keep original documents ready for verification during the first stage of the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

MAHCET 2019 Application Fee

Similar to the online registration process, the MAHCET application fee can also be paid online through Internet Payment, Credit Card/ Debit Card payment gateway. The directorate has not enabled any offline payment options for payment of MBA entrance test fees. Candidates must keep in mind that the internet based payment of MAHCET might attract some service charges from banks.

  • Open Category Application Fee: Rs 1000/-

  • Reserved Category Application Fee: Rs 800/-

MAHCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

MAHCET 2019 exam is very popular among MBA aspirants across the country because of its liberal eligibility criteria and acceptance of test score by over 400+ B-schools in the state of Maharashtra. For this year’s MBA entrance test the eligibility criteria has been set as follow:

  • Nationality: Citizen of India

  • Academic: Graduate with 3 year Bachelor’s degree with above 50% marks

Final year candidates can also apply for MAHCET exam.

MAHCET 2019 Syllabus

Along with announcing the MAH-CET official notification and important dates, the DTE Maharashtra has also released the detailed MAHCET 2019 exam syllabus. The MAHCET  syllabus is very important for all the MBA aspirants who are planning to take up the exam, as it will help them to design a proper study and MBA test prep strategy. The MAHCET syllabus is discussed section-wise in detail below:

  • Logical & Abstract Reasoning: This section would include questions on figures, diagrams and Verbal Reasoning. The section is aimed at testing thinking prowess of the candidates.

  • Quantitative Aptitude: Quant is all about testing the calculation ability of the candidates through a variety of numerical problems. Questions based upon arithmetic problems involving ratio & proportion, percentage etc. will dominate this section. Candidates may also find questions on topics related to quantitative reasoning, interpretation of tables, common graphs & charts.

  • Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension: English language knowledge would be pivotal when it comes to cracking VARC section in MAH-CET 2018 exam. Candidates would encounter questions on topics such as Grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of passages etc. Candidates would have to be well-versed in understanding the contents of the passages and the appropriate words, phrases, expressions to ace this section.

MAHCET 2019 MBA Exam Pattern

MAH-CET would be an online entrance test that would comprise of MCQs or multiple choice questions. The exam would contain 200 questions divided into three sections i.e. Logical & Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension.

MAHCET 2019 Admit Card

MAH-CET admit card would be made available to the candidates online through the official exam portal from  1st March 2019 onwards. Candidates who have successfully registered themselves through the online registration process, will be able to download their MAH-CET admit cards online by logging into their account. The DTE Maharashtra will not send a hard copy of the admit card to the candidates through post or courier. Therefore, candidates are requested to download their MAHCET admit card and take a printout of the same.

MAHCET 2019 Result Date

As per the official notification for MAHCET 2018, the DTE Maharashtra would announce the MAHCET 2018 results on 19th March 2018. Just like application / registration process and issue of admit card; the MAHCET 2018 MBA result would also be announced on official website.
