What is the MAHCET MBA Exam?
MAHCET is a State Level Exam MBA entrance exam conducted byDirectorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra for admission to MBA/MMS in top MBA institutessuch as JBIMS, SIMSREE, K J Somaiya, and PUMBA. MAHCET is a gateway to more than 400+B-schools located in the state of Maharashtra.
Who can appear for the MAHCET MBA Entrance Exam?
To appear for MAHCETMBA entrance exam, candidates must fulfil basic eligibility criteria. Candidates must possessa valid bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate marks in any discipline. Candidates pursuing bachelor’s degree in the final year of the undergraduate programme can also appear for the exam.MAHCET exam applicant should be an Indian Citizen.
MAHCET MBA Exam Pattern
MAHCET is conducted annually, generally in the month of March. It is a multiple choice question based test wherein each question will carry 5 options. The exam is conducted in online format in English language.
In the MAHCET, aspirants will have to solve questions from four sections namely Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability / Reading Comprehension. In each section, number of questions varies depending upon the exam pattern specified by the exam conducting body. Logical Reasoning comprises of 75 questions of 1 mark each, Abstract Reasoning will carry 25 questions of 1 mark each and both Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability will comprise of 50 questions each of 1 mark. Overall, MAHCET comprises of 200 questions that needs to be solved in the time span of 150 minutes. There is no negative marking in MAHCET.

MAHCET MBA Exam Schedule
Exam schedule holds strategic importance for aspirants as it helps in building the right preparation strategy for the exam. MAHCET is conducted generally during the second weekend of March and the exam registration commences from the 4th week of January. DTE releases the admit card one or two weeks prior to the date of examination.
