MAT February 2015 Exam: Test Duration & Pattern

    Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardized national level entrance test conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) for admission to MBA and allied programs in various Business Schools (B-Schools) across the country. Any B-School - national or international - can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. MAT is usually conducted 4 times in a year in February, May, September and December. Paper based MAT February test is scheduled to be held on 1st February 2015 and Computer based one will be conducted on 7th February 2015.

    Test time & Duration: The test will be of 2 & 1/2 hours i.e. from 10:00am to 12:30pm.

    MAT Examination has five sections in it namely:

    • Reading Comprehension
    • Data Interpretation/Data Sufficiency
    • Quantitative Aptitude
    • Logical and Critical Reasoning
    • Indian & Global Environment

    Each section has 40 questions in it making it a total of 200 questions. Thus, aspirants need to attempt a MAT Question paper in speed as they have less than one minute for each question. There is no negative marking.

    Mode of Test: Paper based Test OR Computer based Test

    Candidate can choose any one of the two options to take the test: Paper Based Test or Computer Based Test. The Paper Based Test is being conducted on the first Sunday of the February, May, September and December from 1000-1230 hours. Whereas the Computer Based Test is being conducted from Saturday onwards (6 days after the Paper Based Test date) and in different Time slots.
