1. Increased demand for MBA graduates: Ditching the trend of last few years, the placement data for 2016 has shown increase in the demand for MBA graduates in the market. Be it university backed MBA programme degrees or PDGM, the demand for MBA students has clearly improved this year over the last two.

2. MBA graduates grab higher average salaries: One of the key highlights of the MBA placement trends 2016 has been the significant improvement in the average salaries being offered to the students. Compared to last few years, MBA students from top ranked B-schools in India have grabbed higher average salaries and better placement packages in 2016.
3. Higher International Packages: Another interesting insight from the data is that, international recruiters are quite happy with India’s MBA graduates which have resulted into higher international packages for the students. The number of international employers participating in the placement sessions at top management colleges in India has also gone up significantly.

4. Slight drop in highest domestic packages: The only figure that was listed in negative in the MBA placement data for 2016 was the highest domestic packages offered to candidates. This year, the highest package offered to MBA graduates from top B-schools like IIMs, FMS and XLRI has seen a slight drop in the overall figures.
