A child whose habits have been disciplined and who has been taught to rise early, attend to his lesson properly, take physical exercise at a proper time and avoid things that are injurious, will grow up to be a useful member of the society. The spoilt child who has been allowed to run his own course will show vice in younger days. His parents would wish that he had not been born at all.

One day a wonderful plate made of gold fell from heaven into the court of a temple. These words were inscribed on the plate. “A gift from heaven to him who loves mankind the best.” The priests invited people to the temple and told them about the gift from the heaven. All claimed that they loved mankind the best. Then each one got up and one by one narrated his own kind of deeds but as soon as he touched the plate, it turned into lead. The richest man in the city got up and spoke about his big charity. But as soon as he touched the plate it turns to lead. A poor farmer was also present there. He did not know about the gift. He sat in a corner quietly. People called him. He bowed to the priests and touched the plate. It shone more brightly. The priest awarded the plate to the poor farmer.

Spiders are men’s friends. The spiders are among our best friends. They destroy many harmful insects, including some of our worst enemies. There are the insects that devour crops,cause diseases both to us and to farm animals and torment our skins. Spiders do not have specific insects, which they prey on. They kill and eat whatever insects are available, though they do not usually prey on the large Ones. There are two main groups of spiders: the weaving spiders and the hunting spiders. These two groups differ in various ways. The weavers have bigger spinnerets (those parts of the body from which the silk comes out) and their legs are generally much longer, with special claws at the end. The hunting spiders (which do not spin webs) have smaller spinnerets and strong thicker legs. They have better eye sight than the weavers but the weaver’s sense of touch is more developed and they are highly evolved than the hunters.
