MPEDA, Cochin Notified Recruitment 2 Assistant Director vacancies 2014

The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA), Cochin under Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India issued notification inviting applications for recruitment to 10 posts of Assistant Director in the disciplines of Aquaculture (4 posts), Export Promotion (5 posts) and Statistics (1 post). Interested candidates should send their applications to the concerned authority on or before 21 April 2014.

1. Assistant Director: 10 posts

Pay Scale: Pay band 3 of Rs. 15600- 39100 in the Grade Pay of Rs. 5400 per month
Discipline-wise vacancy details

a. Aquaculture: 4 posts
Maximum Age Limit:  40 years (as on 21 April 2014)

Educational Qualification: D.F.Sc. of the CIFE/ Post Graduation Degree in Mariculture/ Aquaculture, Fishery Science, Zoology, Marine Biology, Ocean Life Sciences, Industrial Fisheries or equivalent with minimum 3 year experience in Prawn Farming/ Aquaculture Research.

b. Export Promotion: 5 posts
Age Limit:  32 years (as on 21 April 2014)

Educational Qualification:  Ph.D. in Fisheries / Fish Processing/ Fish Quality Control/ Aquaculture/ Industrial Fisheries OR M.F.SC. in Fishery Science OR M.Sc. in  Industrial Fisheries with 3 year experience in Fisheries Development/ Fisheries Research/ Fish Processing/ Quality Control in Fish Processing/ Aquaculture/ Marketing  of Fish or Fisheries products.

c. Statistics: 1 post

Age Limit:  32 years (as on 21 April 2014)

Educational Qualification:  M.Sc. in Statistics/ Applied Statisticswith 3 year experience in Statistical Analysis/ Statistical Data Processing.

Application Fee: Non-refundable application fee of Rs.250 is to be paid through a crossed demand draft drawn in favour of ‘The Secretary, MPEDA’, payable at Ernakulam.

SC/ ST/ PH/ Ex-servicemen candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
