National Institute for the Orthopaediaclly Handicapped is an apex organization in the area of locomotor disability which came into the service since 1978 as an autonomous body under the ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.

Pay Scale

  • Deputy Director (Administration): Rs.15600-39100/- + GP Rs.7600/-
  • Resident Medical Officer: Rs.15600-39100/- + GP Rs.5400/-
  • Resident Medical Officer-cum-Anaesthetist: Rs.15600-39100/- + GP Rs.5400/-
  • Physiotherapy Assistant: Rs.5200-20200/- + GP Rs.1900/-

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Deputy Director (Administration): Post Graduate Degree in Arts, Commerce, Science and Management etc.
  • Resident Medical Officer: MBBS in Anaesthesiology or Orthopedics or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation or Psychiatry.
  • Resident Medical Officer-cum-Anaesthetist: MBBS in Anaesthesiology or Orthopedics or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation or Psychiatry.
  • Physiotherapy Assistant: 12th passed with Science and Diploma in Physiotherapy.

Age limit

  • Deputy Director (Administration): Candidate age should be maximum 45 years.
  • Resident Medical Officer: Candidate age should be maximum 35 years.
  • Resident Medical Officer-cum-Anaesthetist: Candidate age should be maximum 35 years.
  • Physiotherapy Assistant: Candidate age should be maximum 35 years.

How to Apply

  • Eligible candidates may apply through prescribed application format as given in notification.
  • Application Form duly complete in all respect along with attested copies of all required Certificates / Documents should be submitted to the Director, National Institute for the Orthopaediaclly Handicapped, B.T. Road, Bon-Hooghly, Kolkata-700090 within 21 days from the date of publication of the advertisement.
  • Candidates should mention “Application for the Post of ________” on the envelope in which the form would be sent.
