NCAOR Goa, Notified Recruitment for 08 Project Scientist-B Posts 2015

National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR), Goa invited application for filling up 8 posts of Project Scientist B under 3 different scientific projects on temporary, project mode basis initially for a period of one year. Eligible candidates should apply through the prescribed format on or before 20 June 2015.

1. Project Scientist B: 08 posts

a. Project: Integrated study of Benchmark Glaciers in Chandra Basin Lahaul -Spiti, Western Himalayas: 2 posts

b. Project: Study of Seafloor Hydrothermal Systems in Mid Oceanic Ridges: 3 posts

c. Project: Geo-scientific Studies of the Exclusive Economic Zone: 3 posts

Eligibility Criterion:

Age limit: 35 years

Educational Qualification:

For 1^st post in Project a: Masters Degree in Geoinformatics/ Geospatial Studies/ Remote Sensing or equivalent with physical fitness for fieldwork on Himalayan glaciers and 2 years relevant experience in geomatic/ geospatial/ remote sensing techniques.  

For 2^nd post in Project a: Masters Degree in Geophysics/ Applied Geophysics/ Physics or equivalent with physical fitness for field work on Himalayan glaciers and 2 years relevant experience in geophysical studies.

For 1^st post in Project b: Masters Degree in Geophysics/ Applied Geophysics/ Marine Geophysics or equivalent with 2 years relevant in field experience.

For 2^nd post in Project b: Masters Degree in Chemistry/ Chemical Sciences/ Chemical Oceanography or equivalent with 2 years relevant in field experience.

For 3^rd post in Project b: Masters Degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Marine Biology or equivalent with 2 years relevant in field experience

For 1^st & 2^nd posts in Project c: Masters Degree in Geophysics/ Applied Geophysics/ Geology/ Applied Geology or equivalent with 2 years relevant in field experience. 

For 3^rd post in Project c: Masters Degree in Geology/ Applied Geology/ Marine Geology or equivalent with 2 years relevant in field experience.  

Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates would be done on the basis of their performance in the interview.
