Eligibility Criteria for Registrar & Other Posts
Educational Qualification
- Registrar, Assistant Registrar, Audit Officer: Candidates should possess Masters’ degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale from a recognized University/Institute.
- Executive Engineer (Civil): First class degree or equivalent grade in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.
- Assistant Engineer (Electrical): First class Diploma in Engineering in relevant field with excellent academic record. Or, Post-graduate degree in science or B.E./ B.Tech in relevant field from a recognized University or Institute.
- Assistant Librarian: Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with CGPA of 6.5 in 10-point scale or at least 60% marks and a consistently good academic record with superior knowledge of computerized library service.
- Senior Medical Officer, Medical Officer: MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
- Security Officer: Bachelor degree from a recognized University/ Institute with 5 years’ experience in supervising position in Army/Central paramilitary Forces in Govt. organization/ educational /private organization.
- Senior Scientific Officer, Scientific Officer: B.E/B. Tech. or M. Sc/ MCA Degree in relevant field with first class or equivalent grade and consistently excellent academic record.
Age Limit
- Registrar: Upper age limit for the post is 57 years.
- Assistant Registrar, Audit Officer, Assistant Librarian, Medical Officer, Security Officer, Scientific Officer: Upper age limit for the post is 35 years.
- Executive Engineer (Civil), Senior Medical Officer, Senior Scientific Officer: Upper age limit for the post is 40 years.
- Assistant Engineer (Electrical): Upper age limit for the post is 36 years.
- Deputy Librarian: Upper age limit for the post is 45 years.
Selection Procedure for Registrar & Other Posts
Selection will be made through written test and interview.
Application Fee
Gen/OBC: Candidates have to pay Rs. 500/- in the form of Demand Draft may be prepared in favour of Registrar, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar payable at Jalandhar.
SC, ST & PwD: No Fee.
