Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited Notified Recruitment for 3 Various Posts, 2013

Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) invited application for recruitment to the post of Sub –Officer, Leading Fireman and Driver-cum-Pump Operator-cum-Fireman. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 29 April 2013. NPCIL was created in September 1987 as public limited company under the Companies Act 1956, "with the objective of undertaking the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the atomic power stations for generation of electricity in pursuance of the schemes and programmes of the Government of India under the provision of the Atomic Energy Act 1962."

Age Limit

• Sub – Officer-B1: Maximum age of the candidate should be 40 years as on 1 January 2013.
• Leading Fireman- A: Maximum age of the candidate should be 32 years as on 1 January 2013.
• Driver-cum-Pump Operator-cum-Fireman-A: Maximum age of the candidate should be 32 years as on 1 January 2013.
• The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC candidates and for Ex-Serviceman as per Rules.

Educational Qualification

• Sub – Officer-B1: SSC or equivalent PLUS Sub - Officer’s course from National Fire Service College or from CISF Fire Training Centre plus 5 years relevant experience as Leading Fireman in a recognized Civil/Industrial Fire Service Station of which at least 3 years relevant experience should be after obtaining the requisite qualification. OR 8 years experience as Fireman/ Driver-cum-Operator in a recognized Civil / Industrial Fire Service Station of which at least 3 years relevant experience must be after obtaining the requisite qualification. Persons having valid Heavy Vehicle driving license will be given preference.
• Leading Fireman- A: S.S.C. or equivalent plus 8 years relevant experience as Fireman/Driver-cum-Operator in a recognized Civil/Industrial Fire Service Station. Persons having Certificate Course from State Fire Training Centre and having valid Heavy Vehicle driving license will be given preference. OR Sub-Officers’ Course from National Fire Service College plus 7 years experience as Fireman/Driver-cum-Operator in a recognized Civil / Industrial Fire Service Station of which at least 3 years relevant experience must be after obtaining the requisite qualification. Persons having valid Heavy Vehicle driving license will be given preference
• Driver-cum-Pump Operator-cum-Fireman-A: SSC or equivalent with valid Heavy Vehicle License(Persons having Certificate Course from State Fire Training Centres or having knowledge of fire fighting equipment such as Fire Extinguishers etc will be given preference). Three years of relevant experience after obtaining requisite qualification.

           NOTE: [1] Experience in a Fire Service Organisation/Defence Service will be preferred.
           [2] Knowledge of English is desirable.

Pay Scale

• Sub – Officer-B1: (PB 2) 9300-34800 + GP 4200
• Leading Fireman- A: (PB 1) 5200-20200 + GP 2400
• Driver-cum-Pump Operator-cum-Fireman-A: (PB 1) 5200-20200 + GP 2000

Selection Process
Selection of the candidate will to be made on the basis of their performance in Written Examination, Physical Assessment / Endurance Test, Driving Test and Personal Interview. Candidates short-listed in the initial screening will be called for the written test. Candidates qualified in the written test will be called for the physical assessment / endurance test, driving test and interview
