The Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) cancelled its MD/MS entrance examination which was held in the first week of November 2012 post a cheating racket was busted by CBI
Apparently, the the entrance test for the MD /MS will now be conducted in the second week of December 2012 . This will be done as per the availability of centers for the entrance examination.
The decision of cancelling the examination was taken post a meeting that was chaired by the institute's acting director, Dr Vinay Sakhuja, which was also attended by some senior functionaries.
The decision will affect around seven thousand three hundred candidates, who appeared for the seventy eight post graduation seats in various departments of PGIMER in eleven different examination centres in the city.
