The National Law University, Delhi established in 2008 is premier law university established in the capital city of India. The university invites applications for PG Diploma in Judging and Court Management (PGDJCM) for the academic session 2011-12. It is a One year Post-Graduate Diploma offered by NLU Delhi as Weekend programme.
Eligibility: Graduate in Law with 50% marks
Age limit: 30 years as on 1st September, 2011( 35 years in case of SC/ST candidates)
Total Seats: 50. The admissions will be made on the basis of entrance test to be conducted only at Delhi.
The date of Entrance Test will be notified on the University website.
Reservation: 15% for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST candidates, 3% for Persons with Disabilities.
Application fee: Rs 1000/- for General Category and Rs 500 for SC/ST Candidates to be sent with the Application Form through Demand Draft in favour of the Registrar National Law University, Delhi payable at Delhi.
Course Fee: Tuition fee Rs 15000/- for General Category and Rs 10,000/- for SC/ST candidates + Other deposits and payments.
Highlights of the Programme
- Classes will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
- Programme addresses judicial process, interpretation of statutes, civil and criminal rules of practice, judging and court management, alternative dispute resolution, advocacy skills and provides opportunity for internship in courts with lawyers.
- Programme would be taught by experts in various areas including judges, judicial officers, lawyers and academicians. Targeted to train and prepare law graduates interested in joining the judiciary.
- Programme Structure: Divided into two semesters.
