Indian Railway, in addition to previously announced 90,000 vacancies for Group C and Group D posts, is going to fill 20,000 more vacancies. The total number of posts now raised up to 1,10,000. According to Railway Minister Mr. Piyush Goel in his tweet on 29 March 2018 "1,10,000 jobs in Railways for youth: One of the world's biggest recruitment drive gets even bigger".
According to the ministry, there will be more than 10,000 vacancies for L1 & L2 positions under the advertisement CEN 01/2018 and CEN 02/2018. Also, 9,000 jobs will be for appointment in the Railway Police Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF). The notification for RPF and RPSF will be announced in the month of May 2018

This is the biggest recruitment drive after the gap of 4 years in Indian railway. The recruitment for 90000 vacancies under Group C and D for Assistant Loco Pilot, Technician and Other posts has just closed on 31 March 2018 and more than 2 Crore job seekers had applied for the posts.
