Under Rajya Sabha Secretariat Recruitment 2016, out of total 143 posts, 04 posts are allotted to Junior Parliamentary Interpreter, 08 posts for Junior Parliamentary Reporter, 23 posts for Senior Executive/ Legislative/ Committee/ Protocol Assistant, 08 posts for Research Assistant, 06 posts for Stenographer (English), 16 posts for Security Assistant Gr. II, 02 posts for Junior Library Assistant, 33 posts for Junior Clerk, 28 posts for Translator, 13 posts for Junior Proof Reader and 02 posts for Staff Car Driver (Ordinary grade).
Eligibility for Junior Parliamentary Interpreter (English/Hindi): Candidate should possess Master’s degree in English with medium of Hindi Language upto degree level or Master’s degree in Hindi with medium of English Language upto degree level.
Eligibility for Junior Parliamentary Interpreter (Assamese): Master’s degree in any discipline with Assamese up to degree level.
Eligibility for Junior Parliamentary Interpreter (Marathi): Master’s degree in any discipline with Marathi upto degree level.
Eligibility for Junior Parliamentary Interpreter (Urdu): Master’s degree in any discipline with Urdu upto degree level.
Eligibility for Junior Parliamentary Reporter (Hindi, English), Senior Executive/ Legislative/ Committee/ Protocol Assistant, Security Assistant Gr. II: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Eligibility for Research Assistant: Masters Degree in any discipline or bachelors degree in any discipline with Law degree.
Eligibility for Stenographer (English): Graduation and possessing minimum Shorthand speed of 80 w.p.m. in English.
Eligibility for Junior Library Assistant: Bachelor’s degree in Library Science.
Eligibility for Junior Clerk (English, Hindi, Urdu): Graduate
Eligibility for Translator: Master’s Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the Degree level; or Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as a subject at the Degree level.
Eligibility for Junior Proof Reader: Bachelor’s degree with English or Hindi as a subject.
Eligibility for Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade): Matriculation or equivalent qualification.

- Junior Parliamentary Reporter, Junior Clerk and Staff Car Driver: Upper age limit for the post is 27 years.
