Eligibility Criteria for Teaching Posts
Educational Qualification
- PGT (English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Odia, Political Science, Sanskrit and Biology*)- Two years integrated Post Graduate M.Sc Course in Regional Institute of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject; or Master’s Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% Marks in aggregate and in concerned subject; B.ed or equivalent from a recognized University.
- PGT (Computer Science) - B.E or B.Tech (Comp. Sc/IT) from a recognized University or equivalent degree or diploma from an Institution/University recognized by the govt. of India. Or B.E or B.Tech. (Any stream) and post graduate diploma in Computers from recognized University; Or M.Sc (Comp. Sc.)/MCA or equivalent from a recognized university; Or B.Sc (Comp. Sc.)/BCA or equivalent and Post Graduate degree in any subject from recognized University.Or B level from DOEACC and Post Graduate Degree in any subject; Or C level from DOEACC Ministry of Information and Communication Technology and Graduation
- TGT (English, Mathematics, Science: Physics/Chemistry/Biology, Geography and Odia) - Four Year degree course integrated degree course of Regional Institute of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% Marks in aggregate; Or Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in concerned subjects/combination of subjects and in aggregate including electives and conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
- TGT (Health and Physical Education)- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education or equivalent.
- PRT- Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% Marks or Intermediate with 50% Marks or its equivalent ; Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by the CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
- PRT (Music) - Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% Marks or Intermediate with 50% Marks or its equivalent; Bachelor in Music or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Pre-Primary Teacher- Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% Marks and six months diploma in ECCE or one year Diploma in ECE from a recognized university.
- Professional Assistant- M.Lib.Sc./M.L.I.Sc. or equivalent with 50% marks or Master’s Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce or any discipline with 50% and B.Lib.Sc/B.L.I.Sc. with 50% Marks.
- WET (Arts and Craft) - Five years recognized Diploma in drawing and painting/Sculpture/Graphic Art. Or equivalent recognized degree.

Interested candidates can apply online up to 22 May 2017. Candidates are required to send hard copy of submitted application along with passport size photograph and copies of relevant documents to the Administrative Officer, Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar, Sachivalaya Marg, Bhubaneswar-751022 latest by 29 May 2017. Candidates have to mention the name of post applied for on the top of envelope.
