Interested candidates must check the age limit, educational qualification, nationality, and medical standards before applying online at rrbapply.gov.in. The required age limit varies as per the category of candidates.
Candidates interested in applying for the announced vacancies must go through all the requirements beforehand, such as the age limit and educational qualification. If at any stage of examination it is found that the details filled by the candidates are invalid, then it will lead to the disqualification of their candidature. RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria 2025
The candidates applying for the recently announced RRB Group D vacancies in Indian Railways must have passed class 10th or equivalent and must be between the age limit of 18 and 36 years. However, relaxation in ages will be given to reserved category candidates. The positions on which the candidates will be selected are level-1 posts in Indian Railways. The candidates who are waiting for their final examination result are not eligible to apply for announced vacancies.

RRB Group D Age Limit 2025
The age limit of RRB Group D is 18 to 36 years for general category candidates and As per the official notification pdf, the cutoff date for age calculation is January 1, 2025. Generally, the maximum age is up to 33 years but this year candidates will get the relaxation of 3 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Check the table below for RRB Group D age limit

RRB Group D Educational Qualification 2025
The candidates who have already passed Class 10th or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT from a recognised institute/university as on the last date (i.e., 22.02.2025) are eligible for submission of the online application. The candidates who are waiting for the final examination results are not eligible to apply.

RRB Group D Nationality
Other than the RRB Group D age limit and educational qualification, the candidate must also fulfil the RRB Group D nationality criteria. For nationality, a candidate must be either:
a. a citizen of India, or
b. a citizen of Nepal, or
c. a subject of Bhutan, or
d. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
e. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
f. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in
whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India
RRB Group D Medical Standards
Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the prescribed medical standards for the post(s) they are opting for. The RRB Group D medical standards are divided into different categories, such as A2, A3, C1, and B1. Check the details below
A2: Distant Vision: 6/9, 6/9 without glasses (no fogging test) Near Vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 without glasses and Must pass tests for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision, Mesopic vision etc.
A3: Distant Vision: 6/9, 6/9 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 2D). Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses and must pass test for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision, Mesopic vision, etc.
C1: Distant Vision: 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses. Near Vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required.
B1: Distant Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D), Near Vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and Must pass test for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision, Mesopic vision, etc.
