L'oreal India scholarship programme is offering 10 scholarships for young women in the field of science to encourage them to specialise in this field. These scholarships are given for a period of four years to students in Maharashtra and New Delhi.The objective of the programme is to provide financial assistance to meritorious students in their chosen fields.
Financial support: Scholarships worth Rs 2.5 lakh each will be awarded to girls to provide financial assistance to meritorious students in science for a period of four years of study at a recognised Indian University.
Eligibility: Women who have passed the class 12 exam in the science stream from New Delhi or Maharashtra are eligible to apply. Applicants should have graduated in the current academic year and should have a minimum of 85 per cent.
Procedure: The downloaded application form, filled in the applicants own handwriting should be submitted along with supporting document to the L'oreal India scholarship cell. Last day for submitting application forms is June 30, 2011 and they should be submitted only after the class 12 results have been declared.
