The Summer break for schools in India usually spans from May to June; however, there may be variations in the dates depending on the specific region. Below is the state-wise list of summer vacation dates for the 2024-25 academic session:
Summer Vacation 2024 Dates in UP
Schools in Uttar Pradesh will observe a 41-day summer break. The summer vacation will start on May 21, 2024 and end on June 30, 2024.
Summer Vacation 2024 Dates in Bihar
Students in Bihar will have a longer summer break in 2024. The Bihar Education Department, Patna has elongated the summer break from 20 days to 30 days for the new academic year. The Bihar school summer vacation will be from April 15 to May 15, 2024.
Summer Vacation 2024 Dates in Tamil Nadu
In the schools of Tamil Nadu, students in classes 1 to 9 will get at least 10 days of additional summer holidays, due to the general elections scheduled on April 19, 2024. As per a circular issued by the Directorates of School Education and Elementary Education, the holidays for classes 1 to 9 will begin on April 13 while teachers will be engaged in the election training during this period.
Summer Vacation 2024 Dates in Punjab
Based on previous years' trends, the summer vacations in all government, aided, and private schools of Punjab are expected to last for 30 days. Last year, the summer break in Punjab was observed from June 1 to July 2, 2023. Therefore, the dates may align similarly this year as well.
