He also suggested referring limited sources for the preparation of History Optional Papers. While choosing optional papers, he told that the individual interest of an IAS aspirant matters the most and it will have an advantage that they can do better analysis on that subject just because of his/her individual interest.

  • He did not prepare History for General Studies Paper I separate
  • Emphasise more on the important topics and prepare it in detail.
  • Try to write a lot of answers and put maximum facts which will justify your stand on the respective topics.
  • Use maps and diagram if required.
  • Link your every answer with recent happenings or any other recent case studies happened.
  • Conclude your every answer with an ethical point of view.
