Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. Notified Recruitment for Trainee Marine Engineer Post 2014

    The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd., Mumbai, a Government of India Enterprise invited applications from Unmarried female and male candidates for recruitment as Trainee Marine Engineer. Interested candidates should apply online through SCI website till 25 August 2014 (1700 hours) and send the hard copy of the application to the SCI office so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 1 September 2014.

    Date of on-line examination: 7 September 2014 (from 1100 hours)

    Name of the Post: Trainee Marine Engineer

    Maximum Age limit:  28 years (as on 1 January 2015)

    Maximum age limit is relax-able up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates and up to 2 years for women candidates.

    Qualification: B.E/ B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering/ Mechanical & Automation Engineering or equivalent.

    Final year / semester students who expect their results by 30 August 2014 are eligible to apply. 

    Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the all India online test and Personal interview.

    Only shortlisted eligible candidates will be allowed to appear in the All India online test and only candidates qualifying in the online test will be called for Personal Interview to be held at SCI Head Office: The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. Mumbai, Maharashtra.

    Application Fees: non-refundable application fees of Rs.1000 (Rs.500 for SC & ST candidates) excluding NEFT bank charges is to be deposited, before filling on-line application form, through National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) in a/c no 10972426052 with SBI’s Backbay Reclamation Branch, Mumbai.

    How to Apply:  Interested and eligible candidates should apply online through SCI website www.shipindia.com till 25 August 2014 (1700 hours). On successful submission of the online application form, a Registration number will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen.

    Candidates should retain this Registration No, take a printout of the submitted application form and send the print out along with Certificates/ mark sheets/ documents by Ordinary Post/Courier/Speed Post/ Registered Post to ‘The Senior Vice President, Flee Personnel Dept. Third Floor. The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd, Shipping House, 245, Madame Cama Road, Nariman point, Mumbai-400 021, Maharashtra, India’ so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 1 September 2014 (1700 hours).
