Shreyas Gramin Bank Clerks/Officers Recruitment 2011: Shreyas Gramin Bank has invited application for recruitment to the posts of Officers/Clerks. Shreyas Gramin Bank is a regional rural bank sponsored by Canara Bank. The Bank has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Officer and Clerical Cadre. Mentioned below are the details for the same.

Above 18 Years but below 26 years (not born earlier than 1 February 1985 and not later than 31 January 1993)
b) Clerical Cadre: Between 18 years and 26 years (not born earlier than 1 February 1985 and not later than 31 January 1993)

Eligibility criteria
For recruitment as Officer and Clerk in Shreyas Gramin bank, the candidate should be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh. Besides that, he/ she should satisfy the following conditions:
(i) a citizen of India,
(ii) a subject of Nepal,
(iii) subject of Bhutan,
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India,
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/ interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificates have been issued to him by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification

Officer Scale-1
• Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent
• Knowledge of English and proficiency in local language (Hindi) is essential.
• Preference shall be given to the candidates having higher qualification and experience

Clerical Cadre
• Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent

OR
• A Pass in Higher Secondary School examination of 10 + 2 or 10 + 2 + 3 pattern/ 11th Std. of 11 + 3 pattern / Pre-degree or Intermediate or any equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in case of General candidates and 45% in case of SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD

OR
• Diploma in Banking recognized by State or Central Government or Union Territory.

OR
• Pass with 60% marks in Matriculation/ SSC (old pattern)/ SSLC/ 10 + 2 + 3 pattern in case of General candidates and 55% in case of SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD.
• Must possess a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute in English and 25 words per minutes in Hindi
• Knowledge of English and proficiency in local language (Hindi) is essential.
• Preference shall be given to the candidates having higher qualification and Experience

Computer Qualification
Preference will be given to candidates who are computer literates in MS DOS, MS Word, MS Excel, Net Working etc

a) Officer Scale-1: 14500-600/7-18700-700/2-20110-800/7- 2570
b) Clerical Cadre: 7200-400/3-8400-500/3-9900-600/4-12300-700/7-
c) 17200-1300/1-18500-800/1-19300

NOTE: Medical Aid, LTC, Gratuity, etc, will be admissible as per the rules of the Bank. At present the total starting emoluments of Officer Scale-I are around Rs 22685/- per month and that of Clerical cadre are around Rs 12556/- per month (including two increments for Graduation) inclusive of DA and HRA at the current rates depending on the place of posting.

Application Fee: The detail of fees to be paid by SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex-servicemen is Rs 50 and for General/ OBC candidate is Rs 300.

How to apply
1. All eligible candidates are required to apply online only in the prescribed Format through the website http://www.shreyasbank.com/ from 05 April 2011 to 28 April 2011. Please note that the last date for submission of online application is 28 April 2011. No other means/ mode of application will be accepted.
2. Candidates are requested to have a valid personal e-mail ID. It should be kept active for the duration of this recruitment project. Bank may send call letter for written test, interview etc. through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, a candidate should share mentioned e-mail ID of any other person.
3. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/ she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying on-line.
4. There is provision to modify the submitted online application. Candidates are requested to make use of this facility to correct the details in online application, if any. This modification facility shall be available after two days of registration and up to 30 April 2011. Modification will be allowed only three times. After the last date ie, 30April 2011, no modification will be permitted.
5. Candidates are first required to go to the Bank’s Website http://www.shreyasbank.com/ and click on the Home Page to open the link “Recruitment” thereafter, open the Recruitment Notification.
6. Take a print out of the ‘Fee Payment Challan’.

Payment of Application Fee
Candidates should first download one of the Challans* as applicable to them from the Bank’s website http://www.shreyasbank.com/
*There are two challans available on the Bank website     
1. For the post of Officers Scale -1: payment challan -01
2. For the post of Clerk-cum-Cashier: payment challan-02
Candidates can pay the fees at any of the Canara Bank Branches. Candidates should ensure that on deposit of fee, the branch issues him a receipt which includes the following items:
i. Canara Bank Branch Name
ii. Branch Code Number
iii. Transaction ID Number
iv. Deposit Date

After filling in the required information on the challan they should pay the requisite fee in any branches of Canara Bank.

a) Application Fee and Postage Charges should be paid through Fee Payment Challan.
b) Payment of application fee and or postal charges by Demand Draft /Cheques/Money Orders/Postal order etc. will not be accepted.
Obtain the Candidate’s Copy of Counterfoil of the Application Fee Payment Challan duly receipted by the Bank under ‘Cash Received’ Stamp and Signature with (a) Branch Name and Branch Code Number, (b) Transaction ID, (c) Deposit Date & amount duly written by the Branch Official.

Note:
1. Candidate will not be permitted for the Written Test without the production of this Challan and Photograph.

2. Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and Examination Fee once paid will neither be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other selection process.

3. Challan as they will have to submit the same along with the Call Letter at the time of the written test. Without original counterfoil of fee payment challan and the call letter for written test, the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the written test.

4. Candidate is now ready to apply on-line by revisiting the Recruitment Link on the Bank’s Website and choosing the option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ON-LINE” to open up the on-line Application Form.

5. Candidate should carefully fill in the details from the Fee Payment Challan in the on-line application at the appropriate places. They should also fill in all other required details therein very carefully and click on the ‘SUBMIT’ button at the end of the on-line Application Format before pressing the submit button. Candidates are advised to verify every particular given in the application. The name of the Candidate or his/her father/husband etc. should be spelt correctly in   the application as it appears in the Certificate/ Mark sheet any change alteration found may disqualify the candidature.

6. The Candidate should note/ remember the Registration number and Password for future reference and use.

7. After applying on-line, the candidates should take a print out of the system generated on-line application form and retain it for future reference. They should not send this print out to the Bank.

8. Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply on-line much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date for depositing the fee to avoid the possibility of disconnection/ inability/ failure to log on the Bank’s website on account of heavy load on internet/ website jam.

9. The bank does not assume any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of the aforesaid or for any other reason beyond the control of the Bank.

10. Please note that the above procedure is the only valid procedure for applying. No other mode of application or incomplete step would be accepted and such application would be rejected.

11. A recent passport size photograph should be firmly pasted on the paid Challan (Candidate’s Copy). Five copies of the same photograph should be retained for use at the time of written test and interview. Candidates are advised not to change their appearance till the recruitment process is completed. Failure to produce the same photograph at the time of written test and interview may lead to disqualification. The “Candidate’s copy” of the exam fee challan with a recent photograph of the candidate pasted thereon should be handed over at the examination centre.

12. Candidates should keep two copies of the Application printout, a copy of the printout with the recent photograph of the candidate duly pasted thereon will have to be submitted at the time of interview, and the other copy may be retained for personal record of the candidate. A copy of the Challan (indicating Transaction No.) may be retained for the candidate’s record. The Original Challan will have to be submitted with the call letter at the time of written test.

13. The Bank takes no responsibility for any certificate/ remittance sent separately by candidate.

14. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post have to pay the application fees separately for each post and apply for each post separately.

Selection procedure:

Selection procedure for Officers and Clerk cum Cashiers:

i. Procedure consisting of Written Test & Interview.
ii. The Written  test for  Officers will consist of objective tests of Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness & English Language as detailed  here below:

Note:
• The marks obtained in first 3 papers will be reduced to 60% for the purpose of preparing merit list after the written examination.
• The candidate must obtain minimum of 35% marks (30% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD) in each test
• The test of English language is only a qualifying exam and one has to obtain minimum of 35% marks (30% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD)

iv. Marks obtained in the written test will be reckoned for merit ranking. Accordingly candidates will be called for interview. Depending upon number of vacancies, only a certain number of candidates from the candidates merit listed in the Written Examination will be called for Interview in the ratio of 1:4. Mere pass in the test shall not vest in any right for being called for interview.
v. Final selection will be made on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the Written test & Interview and will be strictly according to the merit.
vi. The Bank reserves the right to hold a second stage of examination if required on the basis of order of merit. If the second stage of written examination is held the subsequent process of interview and further process would be on the basis of order of merit in the second stage examination.
