Sports Authority of India (SAI) invites applications from eligible candidates for filling up various posts in Sports Sciences & Medicine Cadres at its Head Office, New Delhi and its various Regional Centres/ Sub- Centres.
Name of the Post and Number of Vacancies
- Junior Scientific Officer: 19 vacancies (Psychology 2, Physiology 4, Biochemistry 2, Food & Nutrition 2, Biomechanics 3, Anthropmetry 2, Sports Medicine 4)
- Junior Scientific Assistant: 5 vacancies (Psychology 2, Physiology 2, Biomechanics 1)

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Junior Scientific Officer
- Masters degree in the concerned discipline from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks for General/ OBC category and 50% for SC/ ST candidates.
- 2 years work, research, teaching experience in the related subject
- Desirable: PhD in related discipline
Junior Scientific Assistant: Bachelors degree in the concerned discipline from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks for General/ OBC category and 50% for SC/ ST candidates.
Age Limit as on (1 September 2011): 35 years for Junior Scientific Officer; 25 years for Junior Scientific Assistant
Application Fee: Candidates will have to pay along with his/ her application a non- refundable application fee of Rs 500 by Demand Draft only in favour of ‘SECRETARY, SPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA' payable at New Delhi.
Selection Procedure: Selection Process will comprise of Interview of candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria.
