Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- In Grade Pay Rs 1900/ 2000: Matriculation or equivalent
- In Grade Pay Rs 2400: Intermediate (if recruited in Technician Grade)
- In Grade Pay Rs 2800: Graduation or equivalent
Age Limit (as on 1 January 2012): Minimum 18 years; Maximum 25 years
In case of Sportsperson having outstanding sports achievements, the lower and upper age relaxation may be granted in exceptional cases with the approval of Railway Board.
Application Fee: Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order of Rs 60 for Group ‘C' post, should be drawn in favour of FA & CAO, East Central Railway, Hajipur payable at Hajipur.
Selection Procedure: Appointments against sports quota shall be given only after trials and interview. Candidates declared NOT FIT by the Trial Committee will not be assessed further by the Recruitment Committee.
How to Apply
The application format is available Employment Newspaper. The given format should be neatly typed in Hindi or English on a A4 size paper in own hand writing and one photograph should be pasted at a specific space. Applications as per format given should be addressed to Deputy Chief Personal Officer/ Recruitment, Railway Recruitment Cell, Polson Complex, Digha Ghat, Patna- 800 001. The application should be sent by ordinary post only in a closed envelope or to dropped in the application box provided for the purpose in Patna. On the top of the envelope "Application Against Sports Quota", Employment Notice No. ECR/HRD/Rectt/Sports Quota/1/2010-12 & Sports Discipline should be super scribed.
