Eligibility Criteria for Recruitment in Army Medical Corps

Education Qualification: The applicant must possess medical qualification included in First/Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of IMC Act 1956. The applicant must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/MCI Post graduate degree holders i.e.  MD/ MS/ MCh/ DM may also apply.

Note: Candidates who will be completing internship by 31 Mar 2012 may also apply

Age Limit (as on 31 December 2012): Maximum 45 years

Selection Procedure for Recruitment in Army Medical Corps

Eligible candidates will be called for Interview by a Board of Officers in the month of Jul 2012 at Army Hospital (Research &Referral) New Delhi near Dhaula Kuan, Delhi Cantt. to assess their suitability and merit for grant of Short Service Commission in the Armed  Forces  Medical Services.

Physical & Medical Standard: Every candidate on his / her having been qualified in interview will be produced before a duly constituted Medical Board by DGAFMS for examining his or her medical fitness as per laid down standards

How to Apply for Recruitment in Army Medical Corps

Eligible candidates should send the duly filled application form as available on the website http://indianarmy.nic.in/ to the Office of the Director General, Armed Forces Medical Services/DG-1A, Ministry of Defence, ‘M' Block, New Delhi - 110001 along with the required attested documents and Demand Draft.

Application Fee (non-refundable): Rs 200 payable at New Delhi in favour of the Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (APF Fund). Candidates should write name & address on the reverse of demand draft

Note:  It is required to ensure that the demand draft bears code number of issuing Bank
