With a seed capital of Rs 6 crore, Ceo of Iberry solutions pvt Ltd that manufactures laptops meant for E-learning, Prabind turned his business into a Rs 100 crore affair
An engineering graduate from Bhubaneswar, Prabind Kumar Singh, CEO, IBerry Solutions Pvt Ltd, based in Delhi is a man of innovation. His company creates laptops that act as books providing e-learning material, through electronic content softwares, to school children. "Most people only study to get placed and this often leads to lack of creativity. But my invention focuses on creating a society that understands what it does and is able to apply fundamental concepts," says Singh.
In an effort to create a paperless society, Singh started working on a concept in 2006 and after an investment of Rs 6 crore, came up with the Edberry-EdBook. Although his invention does not look any different from an ordinary laptop, it cannot be used as one because the programming is meant for academic purpose and has e-learning content through embedded software.
To top it of, this 'laptop' is based on artificial intelligence and is accompanied by a digital pen, and 24-hour internet connectivity. Singh believes that education is one of the most important sectors and can change the outlook of an entire country. He explains that this kind of a system would be available to schools by early next year and would cost them Rs 30,000 per piece.
