Syllabus for UGC NET Examination June 2013

University Grants Commission (UGC) of India, with the support of National Educational Testing Bureau, conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) every year for Indian nationals to determine their eligibility for Lectureship and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

The main objective of this test is to ensure minimum standards for the Indian nationals who want to join the noble profession of teaching and research. UGC allocates a number of fellowships to the universities to let the qualifying candidates attain the award of JRF.

NET is being held twice a year usually in the month of June and December by UGC and this is the time for NET-June 2013, which is going to be held on 30 June (Sunday). The test will be conducted for 78 subjects including Humanities (including languages), Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science etc across 77 centers throughout the country. From June 2012 onwards, UGC NET exam is being conducted in objective mode only.
