The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test/TANCET is a popular MBA entrance exam, conducted for admission to various MBA colleges located in the state of Tamil Nadu. What is the TANCET MBA Exam?

TANCET exam is a state level entrance examination conducted by the Anna University. The entrance exam is conducted in the month of March every year and over 100 institutes accept TANCET scores secured by the admission seekers.

Who can appear for the TANCET MBA Entrance Exam?

Candidates applying for the TANCET exam must hold a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and at least 50 per cent overall percentage at the graduate level. Candidates appearing in the final year of the graduation course are also eligible to appear for TANCET exam. There is no minimum age bar for appearing in the exam for any of the courses.

TANCET MBA Exam Pattern

TANCET MBA entrance exam is conducted in offline mode. The TANCET exam pattern comprises of 100 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) wherein there are 4 answer options for every question, and for each correct answer 1 mark will be awarded. And for each incorrect answer 1/3 mark will be deducted. Time limit of 120 minutes i.e. 2 hours is allotted to the exam takers to complete the entrance exam. The questions in the exam are asked from five key sections i.e. Data Analysis, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Sufficiency, Reading Comprehension Passages, and General English.
