T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) was established in the year 1980, and is among seven institutes in India to have been accredited with the prestigious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation. TAPMI 2018: Programmes Offered        

TAPMI offers a 2 year PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) course, which is designed as per modern-day industry needs where students could achieve excellence in any business. The course is based on experience learning and focuses on live projects, case studies and practical learning. The main objective of this course is to create top class management leaders who can take key business decisions for the betterment of respective organizations. The program is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and recognized by The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to an MBA degree. The Program offers specializations in Marketing, Operations, Human Resource, Finance, IT and General Management. Other than the popular PGDM course, the institute also offers the following courses:

Tapmi 2018: Programme-wise Eligibility Criteria

PGDM: Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply for the PGDM Course, candidates need to have a Graduation Degree with not less than 50% marks. Final year students can also apply for the PGDM Program; however, they need to submit the proof of Graduation at the admission.

PGDM – Healthcare: Eligibility Criteria

The PGDM Program in Healthcare accepts students only from medical academic background that includes Medicine, Dentistry, Alternative Medicine, Pharmacy, Biotechnology and Paramedical.

TAPMI 2018: Admission Procedure

The admission procedure of TAPMI goes through 4 stages, where candidates need to fulfill every requirement in order to get admission to PGDM Program.

Stage I: MBA Entrance Exams

The first criteria to take admission to TAPMI’s PGDM Program is to appear for any of the management entrance exams such as CAT, XAT and GMAT. Based on the cutoff set by the authorized body, candidates are shortlisted for the next round.

Stage 2: Shortlisting Candidates

In the next stage, candidates are screened and shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Management Entrance Exams. A student’s academics, work experience and achievements are also taken into consideration in the shortlisting process.

Stage 3: Admissions Process

In the third stage, shortlisted candidates are called for Written Ability Test (WAT) followed by a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

A. Written Ability Test (WAT): The WAT is conducted by TAPMI to evaluate written communication skills of prospective candidates. The test is conducted to evaluate candidate’s articulation and grammatical skills.

B. Group Discussions (GD): The GD round is conducted to evaluate candidate’s interpersonal and presentation skills. This is the round where candidates need to interact well within a group. In this round, candidates are judged upon their leadership skills, problem solving skills and persuasion skills.

c. Personal Interview (PI): This round is conducted to evaluate candidates self management skills and his leadership and communication skills.

Stage 4: Final Selection

Final selection is based on the overall performance of candidates in CAT/XAT/GMAT, Verbal Ability, academic profile, work experience, WAT score, GD and PI score taken together.

TAPMI 2018: Admission Shortlisting Criteria

TAPMI follows profile-based shortlisting process, which includes candidates valid score card of CAT/XAT/GMAT (whichever is higher), academic profile, work experience and extra-curricular achievements. Shortlisted candidates are informed through email to their registered email ID.

TAPMI 2018: Programme Fees     

The tuition fee for the PGDM Program at TAPMI is Rs. 13 Lakhs (for 2 years) for domestic students and USD 36000 (for 2 years) for NRIs. The hostel fee is Rs. 1.35 Lakhs per year. Mess Facility from multiple vendors available at students’ own cost. Candidates must note that all fee withdrawals will dealt as per AICTE refund policy.
