The Bank has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Law Officers and Security Officer. Mentioned below are the details for the same.
Name of the post & Number of Vacancies
Law Officer: 22 vacancies (JMGS-I 7; MMGS- II 15)
Security Officer: 11 vacancies (MMGS- II 2, MMGS- III 9)
Eligibility criteria
Educational Qualification: Law Officer- Graduate in Degree of Law (3 years or 5 years integrated course) from a recognized University/ Institution. The candidate must obtained minimum 60% marks in Law degree. Candidates in SC/ST Category will get relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks.
Experience Required
For Law Officer in MMGS-II: Enrolled as Advocate with Bar Council of India and is practicing as Advocate for 5 years having experience in dealing with cases of Banking/ Financial Institutions or 5 years experience as Law Officer in Legal Department in Specialist Cadre in a Commercial Bank or total 5 (five) years as Advocate and as Law Officer in a Commercial Bank.
For Law Officer in MMGS-III: Enrolled as Advocate with Bar Council of India and is practicing as Advocate for 7 years having experience in dealing with cases of Banking/ Financial Institutions or 7 years experience as Law Officer in Legal Department in Specialist Cadre in a Commercial Bank or total 7 (seven) years as Advocate and as Law Officer in a Commercial Bank.
Educational Qualification: Security Officer- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
Experience Required
Security Officer JMGS-I: 5 years service as Commissioned Officer in Army/ Navy/ Air Force or officer in the rank of Inspector (Executive)/ Inspector (GD) from Central Police Organisation like BSF/ CRPF/ ITBP/ CISF/ SSB/ CIB/ CBI, who joined as Sub-Inspector or any directly recruited Police Officer in the rank of Sub-Inspector who is working with the Police Force for minimum 8 years in the investigation cadre.
Security Officer MMGS-II: 7 years service as Commissioned Officer in Army/ Navy/ Air Force or officer in the rank of Inspector (Executive)/ Inspector (GD) from Central Police Organisation like BSF/ CRPF/ ITBP/ CISF/ SSB/ CIB/ CBI, who joined as Sub-Inspector/ ACIO or any directly recruited Police Officer in the rank of Inspector who is working with the Police Force for minimum 8 years in the investigation cadre.
Age Limit
- Security Officer JMGS- I: Minimum 21 years; Maximum 35 years
- Security Officer MMGS- II: Minimum 21 years; Maximum 45 years
- Law Officer MMGS- II: Minimum 25 years; Maximum 35 years
- Law Officer MMGS- III: Minimum 30 years; Maximum 40 years

Application Fee: The detail of fees to be paid by SC/ ST/ PC is Rs 50 (postage charges only) and for all other category candidate including OBC is Rs 450.
Requisite Application fee and Postage Charges should be paid by depositing above mentioned amount, as applicable, in UCO Bank only in Current account no. 01900210008423 maintained in the name of "UCO Bank Specialist Officers Recruitment Project". Candidate must write his/ her name, date of birth and address on the reverse side of the counterfoil of the deposit slip.
Selection procedure: The selection will be made on the basis of interview.
