UPPSC PCS Prelims, RO/ARO 2024: In a big relief to the agitating candidates, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has agreed to conduct the UPPSC Public Service Commission (PCS) Prelims 2024 and RO/ARO exam in a single shifts across the state. Displaying a lenient approach to the protest of the aspirants, the Commission has released the short notice saying that now both the exams will be held in a single shift.
The Commission has releasd the short notice on its official websie regarding to conduct the UPPSC and RO/ARO exam in a single shift across the state.
It is noted there was a massive protest launched by the candidates against the conduct of the Civil Services (Preliminary) and Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) examinations in multiple shifts.
Candidates were continuously demanding to conduct the above exam in a single shift. Amidst the protest of the candidates, now the UPPSC has decided to conduct the PCS and RO/ARO exam in a single shift.

UPPSC PCS Exam 2024 220 Vacancies Announced
It is noted that the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) had launched the recruitment drive for 220 upper subordinate service positions including Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Block Development Officer, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Tax) and others.
Earlier the Commission was set to conduct the Civil Services (Preliminary) exam on December 7 and 8, 2024. The RO/ARO (Preliminary) exam was scheduled to be held in three shifts on December 22 and 23, 2024 across the state.
UPPSC PCS Selection Process
Under the UPPSC PCS selection process, the candidate will be selected on the basis of the total marks obtained by the candidates in the main (written) examination and interview. The candidates need to qualify in the test as listed below
- Prelims
- Mains
- Interview
It is noted that the Commission was to conduct the UPPCS Prelims exam 2024 in various exam centers of 41 districts of the state.
