UPPSC PCS Prelims 2024: The Uttar Pradesh Staff Selection Commission (UPPSC) has released short notice regarding the prelims exam date for the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) Prelims 2024 on its official website.
The Commission has decided to conduct the prelims exam on December 22, 2024 across the state. Earlier the Commission has canceled the prelims exam schedule for Provincial Civil Services (PCS) Prelims 2024 and RO ARO after massive agitation by the candidates to conduct the exam in single shifts.
Earlier the Commission was set to conduct the Civil Services (Preliminary) exam on December 7 and 8, 2024.
As per the short notice released, the exam will be conducted on December 22, 2024 in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by the second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m across the state.

The Commission had launched the recruitment drive for 220 upper subordinate service positions including Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Block Development Officer, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Tax) and others.
As per the selection process, UPPSC PCS preliminary exam will cover two objective-type papers including General Studies Paper I and CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) Paper II. Under the UPPSC PCS selection process, the candidate will be selected on the basis of the total marks obtained by the candidates in the main (written) examination and interview. The candidates need to qualify in the test as listed below

- Interview
It is noted that the Commission was to conduct the UPPCS Prelims exam 2024 in various exam centers of 41 districts of the state.
