Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared written result of Combined Defence Service Examination CDS (II) on 16 December 2011. A total of 10120 candidates have qualified written examination held in September 2011 and are eligible for SSB interviews to be held by Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence.
The examination was held for admission to (i) 133rd Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun (ii) Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala and (iii) 192th Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course, (iv) 96th SSC Course (for Men) and (v) 10th SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course. The ratio of candidates shortlisted for the examination per vacancy is 19: 4.
The number of vacancies, as indicated by the Government is 250 for Indian Military Academy (including 32 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C' Certificate (Army Wing) holders], 40 for Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala [( including 6 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C' Certificate (Naval Wing) holders] and 32 for Air Force Academy, Hyderabad(Pre-flying) Training Course, 175 for Officers Training Academy, Chennai and 25 for 10th SSC Women (Non Technical) Officers Training Academy, Chennai.
The candidates must not send the original certificates to the Union Public Service Commission. The mark-sheets of the candidates will be put on the Commission's website within fifteen days from the date of publication of final result (after concluding SSB Interviews) and will remain available on the website for a period of 60 days.
