UPSC IAS Last Minute Tips 2024: As the UPSC prelim examination date approaches, candidates should begin revising all of the topics right away. Candidates must spend at least 7-8 hours revising rather than studying new subjects. To be successful in the examination, candidates must speed up their preparation by using the appropriate study resources and techniques

The UPSC CSE prelims 2024 examination is scheduled to be conducted on June 16, 2024, in two shifts at various exam centres across the country. The first shift of the examination is scheduled for the General Studies (GS) paper in the morning session from 9:30 to 11:30 am and the second shift of the examination is scheduled for CSAT paper in the afternoon session from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. Avoid Studying New Topics

In the final stage of UPSC CSE preparation, candidates should now avoid learning new topics and should focus solely on revision and consolidation. To perform well in the preliminary test, it is advised that you simply study the topics already covered and focus on multiple revisions of topics based on the UPSC preliminary exam analysis from the previous year. 

Time Management

UPSC Prelims Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates must be familiar with the requirements before taking the UPSC CSE 2024 Exam. It will help students keep their balance in the examination hall and avoid any last-minute difficulties on exam day.

  • Candidates must reach the examination hall at least 60 minutes prior to the actual reporting time provided in the UPSC IAS admit card.
  • It is required to bring the UPSC prelims admit card (2024) and a valid photo ID to the test centre. The necessary documents include an original Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, driving licence, voter identity card, or any other photo ID proof, as well as two passport-size colour photographs. 
  • Candidates will not be permitted to bring personal items/belongings to the test hall, including Bluetooth devices, books, communication devices, electronic/digital/wireless devices such as calculators, electronic watches, textual or stationary material, notes, loose sheets, and so on. If they are found with any of the forbidden materials, their candidature will be revoked.
