Ques. How can I score more marks in General Studies?
Ans. The UPSC has a peculiar habit to surprise the candidate during the examinations. First of all, the candidate should not be surprised and shocked but can handle the pressure by keeping cool and calm. The candidates have to focus on the Current Happenings and their backgrounds. Keeping in mind the past, present and anticipating the future is the key to score more marks in the IAS Main Exams. The candidate should relate the concepts with the practical happenings in the society and should build a independent and unique opinion.
The candidate has to balance their answer with facts and Analysis. Only facts will not do and without facts, Analysis is worthless. The number of questions is increased in the recent times; the candidate should jump on the content and should not bother much for the introduction part of the question. Instead the candidate should practice during preparation to develop the shortest possible introduction having a logical opening of one’s answer.
The candidate can relate their answer by giving examples of the recent past. This will fetch them more marks in the exams.
