XAT Exam 2016: Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) Exam 2016 will be conducted on Sunday 3rd January 2016. XLRI Jamshedpurwill conduct XAT at all India level to select the most appropriate students for management education. The XAT score is being used by more than 100 institutes for the admission.
The eligible candidates can apply to the examthrough online in the prescribed format on or before 30th Nov. 2015.

Date of Commencement of Application: 4th Sep. 2015.
Last date for applying: 30th Nov. 2015.
Last date for changing test city: 26th Nov. 2015.
Downloading of Admit Cards: 20th Dec. 2015 – 31st Dec. 2015.
Date of Exam: 3rd Jan. 2016.
Time of Examination: 10 am to 1.30 pm.
XAT Exam pattern / Structure
XAT Exam 2016 will be offline mode (Paper and pen based) and exam paper will be consisted of following sections;
- Quantitative Ability
- English Language & Logical Reasoning
- Decision Making
- GK
- Essay.
These5 sections are divided in two papers.
Paper 1 consists of objective, multiple choice questions from 3 sections – Quantitative Ability, English Language & Logical Reasoning and Decision Making of 3 hours duration time.
Paper 2, this is partly subjective and partly objective type. It is comprisedof 2 sections – General Knowledge and Essay Writing. The General Awareness section consists of 30 questions. The duration for Paper 2 is 30 minutes.
XAT 2016 test Cities
XAT 2016 would be conducted across India in the following cities;
Agartala, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Berhampur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Goa, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Surat, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum, Udaipur, Vadodara, Varanasi, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam.
XAT 2016 would also be conducted across the following two international cities;
Dubai, Kathmandu.
XAT 2016 Registration Procedure
Eligible candidates can visit xatonline.net.in to Register, create a new account with your personal email id, you will receive a unique XAT ID and registration link. After verifying this link candidates will find further steps one by one.
After online registration, candidates are required to send confirmation page and the Demand Draft to:
The Chairperson Admission, XLRI, Circuit House Area (East), Jamshedpur- 831001.
The same must be sent within fifteen days from the issuance of DD.If candidates have made the payment other than DD they should not send the confirmation page.
Eligibility for XAT 2016
Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline. Those completing their final examination by June 10, 2016 may also apply.
All Indian candidates must appear for XAT 2016. However NRI and foreign candidates may apply through GMAT score (except Dubai and Kathmandu wherein candidates have an option of appearing for XAT 2016).

Application Fees for XAT 2016
Candidates only interested in XAT but not in XLRI need to pay a fee of Rs. 1500/-(Rupees Fifteen Hundred only). Candidates interested in XLRI programme(s) needs to pay an additional fee of Rs.250/- each.
