Nayab Singh Saini took oath as Chief Minister of Haryana in Panchkula. This is his second term. The swearing-in ceremony took place on the occasion of Valmiki Jayanti, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states were present.

Actress Rashmika Mandanna has recently been named the national brand ambassador of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The Indian Defence Ministry has recently signed a $3.5 billion deal with the USA for 31 MQ-9B drones (16 Sky Guardian and 15 Sea Guardian) to enhance defence capabilities. The deal includes 15 drones for the Indian Navy and eight each for the Army and Air Force.

Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh unveiled India's first airport-based self-operated indoor air quality monitoring facility Pavana Chitra at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. This off-grid air quality monitor is powered by indigenous indoor solar cell developed by CSIR-NIIST.

Indian shooter Vivaan Kapoor won the silver medal in trap shooting at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Final. Vivaan finished second in the final with 44 points. While China's Qi Ying won the gold medal with 47 points.
