1. (b) 7.8 percent

The Reserve Bank of India has projected real GDP growth at 7.8 percent for the fiscal year 2022-23, informed RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das while announcing RBI's bi-monthly monetary policy decisions on February 10, 2022.

2. (c) Istanbul

Istanbul has been ranked as the most congested city in the world in 2021, followed by Moscow at second place, as per TomTom's 2021 Traffic Index released on February 9, 2022.

3. (d) Mumbai

Mumbai is the most congested city in India in 2021 as per the 2021 Traffic Index, followed by Bengaluru and Delhi. The congestion level in Delhi fell by 14 percent in 2021 in comparison to 2019, while in Mumbai, it dropped by 18 percent.

4. (b) India

India has banned the import of foreign drones to promote Made in India drones with immediate effect on February 9, 2022. The import of drones for research and development, defence and security purposes will though be allowed. 

5. (c) The Power of the Dog

The 'Power Of The Dog’ directed by Jane Campion has the maximum number of nominations at the 94th Academy Awards with 12 nominations in key categories including Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor for Benedict Cumberbatch. Dune follows closely with 10 Nominations, followed by West Side Story and Belfast with 7 Nominations each. 

6. (a) Madhya Pradesh

India’s first commercial biomass-based hydrogen plant will be built in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh.

The number of deaths of Tigers in the country has risen to 127 in 2021, in comparison to 106 in 2020, as per reports from the states. Madhya Pradesh reported the maximum number of deaths with 42 deaths, followed by Maharashtra with 27 deaths, Karnataka with 15 and Uttar Pradesh with 9.

8. (c) India

India beat England by four wickets to win the ICC Under 19 World Cup 2022 final on February 5, 2022. India has won the Under 19 World Cup for a record fifth time, becoming the first-ever team to do so.  

9. (b) Virat Kohli

Virat is the top-ranked Indian in the ICC Men's ODI Batting Rankings 2022. He has retained his second spot with 828 points, followed by Rohit Sharma with 807 points.

10. (a) 2023

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) plans to launch a full-fledged women's Indian Premier League (IPL) as early as 2023. This was informed by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah.
