Assam: Population Density as per Census 2011

“As per the figures revealed in the Census of India, 2011, the Population Density of Assam is 398 persons per sq. km. Let us have a look on the population density of the districts of Assam”.

The population density of the Assam state is 497 per sq km as per 2011 Census. It is comparatively higher than national average, which is 382 persons per sq km. As per 2001 census, the population density of Assam was 340 per persons per square km.
