Northern Gaza and Haiti are the two zones of the world right now where famine is about to attack. Both these places are experiencing times when hundreds of people are struggling hard so that they and their families do not starve. Aid groups and food security experts are worried and warn about the surging toll caused due to hunger. A key reason for the famine in Gaza is actually the brutal war between Hamas and Israel. In the case of Haiti, famine is on the edge due to criminal gangs in the country that are attacking the important government institutions.

As a revert, Pakistani troops were fired by the Taliban government, which further escalated the matter. Afghanistan has been accused by Pakistan of sheltering terrorists. However, this claim has been denied by Taliban.

Accusations

After the airstrikes conducted by Pakistan, the Taliban government did not stay mute. Rather, it retaliated by firing the troops of Pakistan. The tiff between Pakistan and Afghanistan escalated the heat. In addition, Pakistan accused Afghanistan of sheltering terrorists. This claim has been denied by Taliban.

It is important to note that the airstrikes have led to civilian casualties. Reports suggest that three children and five women have been killed in the airstrikes. As per Taliban, three children and three women have been killed in Paktika, near the South Waziristan District of Pakistan. Additionally, reports suggest that two women also lost their lives in Khost, a region near North Waziristan.

What are the reasons behind the tensions?

The ties between Taliban and Pakistan took birth with Taliban gaining power in Afghanistan again. Pakistan was expecting an ally, but soon realized that the resurgence of Taliban has reinforced the TTP.

The security forces of Pakistan have had a few successes against the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan. However, the regime of Taliban has added strength to the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan, thereby being more loyal to the militant faction. Another reason behind the tensions could be the decision of Islamabad to deport Afghan immigrants.

The response of Pakistan

Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan has cautioned against cross-border terrorism. The Prime Minister of Pakistan has said that Pakistan will not be tolerating any such actions. He also said that Pakistan is seeking peaceful ties with its neighboring nations, but will not tolerate any acts of terrorism from across the borders.

"We will not tolerate any kind of terrorism from across the border. Under no circumstances", said Shehbaz.
