Explanation: The left container is bearing the weight of the ball while the right container is not bearing the weight of the ball. The ball submerged in the right container is hanging from the lever which is not putting weight in the container.

Explanation: The answer is obviously Line A. However, it is our mind that when presented with another option tends to question our initial choices. In a psychological test on this riddle, the subject was asked the same question. While 6 out of 10 respondents had answered Line A as longer however 4 respondents were asked to choose Line B.
