As per the census 2011, out of the entire population of the state, Rajasthan 24.87% people reside in urban areas. 17,048,085 people out of the total population live in urban area in which the number of males is 8,909,250 and females are 8,138,835.

 

In Urban areas, the sex ratio was 914 females per 1000 males. The total number of children between 0-6 years living in urban areas was 2,234,621. 13.11 % were children (0-6) of the total population in urban areas.

 

For urban areas in Rajasthan, the average Literacy rate was 79.68 %. The males were 87.91% literate and females at 70.73%.  In Rajasthan, total literates in urban region were 11,803,496 as per Census 2011.
