AICTE Academic Calendar: As per the updates, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has released a revised calendar. As per the revised academic schedule, the classes for engineering and technical institutes for first year students will commence from 30th November 2021. This revised calendar has been released at the official website - aicte-india.org. Along with the AICTE revised dates, the authorities have also released guidelines that stated that this date will not be applicable to those that have already completed their admissions process and started with the classes. Furthermore, the induction program for first year students of Technical courses will commence from 15th November 2021. As per the official notice, AICTE has not asked any Institute to start online/offline classes. This decision has to be taken by the concerned authorities. In the official notice, AICTE has stated that all the admissions-related processes will be done as per the UGC policy. Hence, these Institutes must refer to that. It must be noted that by releasing the dates for reopening, the idea is to ensure that classes can resume in any mode possible. It even mentions that the academic calendar can change as per the conditions prevalent.

Last Year's AICTE Academic Calendar
Last year as well, the admissions got delayed to these courses. It was because the first wave of COVID-19 was at its peak and AICTE had to revise the dates many times. The AICTE revised the schedule thrice during the previous year - first in August, then in October and lastly in November. Eventually, the deadline for commencement of classes last year was 1st December and students were allowed to seek cancellation of admission with full fee refund till 30th November 2020.
