The Central Board of Secondary Education has alerted the parents to check the affiliation status of the schools conducting the Class 10 and 12 board examinations across the country before admitting them. The board has stated that lately it has been noted that some of the non-affiliated schools are misleading parents regarding their affiliation status with the board.
According to the board, the school whose affiliations are under process or have been rejected by the board or have not applied for an Affiliation at all have been fooling parents with wrong information regarding their affiliation with the board.
According to the board, schools that display messages like ‘to be affiliated to CBSE’, CBSE pattern’, ‘likely to be affiliated with CBSE’, ‘running under the aegis to CBSE’ are only meant to defraud the parents. The board has asked the parents to not fall prey to such misleading information regarding the affiliation status of the schools.
The CBSE has also advised all the parents to check the affiliation status of the schools by checking the official link of the CBSE Affiliation website – cbseaff.nic.in before taking admission to the schools. The website provides the parents with information regarding the affiliation of the schools and also the class until which the affiliation has been provided by the government.
The Central Board of Secondary Education began the class 10 and 12 board examinations from February 15, 2020, onwards. The last examination will be conducted on March 30, 2020. It must be noted that the CBSE postponed the examinations to be conducted on February 26, 27, 28 and 29, 2020 in the North East Delhi region due to the violent situation faced by the region in the past week.
Details regarding the new dates for the postponed examination will be provided on the official website of the board shortly.
