CBSE to award 35 teachers, principals for their meritorious and distinguished services

The Central Board of Secondary Education will be felicitating 35 teachers with the CBSE Teachers Award 2018. The felicitation ceremony will be conducted o September 12, 2019, to award the teachers and principals for their meritorious and distinguished services to the field of education. The awards being presented are for the 2018-19 academic year.

The awards will be presented to the teachers by the Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Ramesh Pkhriyal. The ceremony will also be attended by the Minister of State, HRD, Mr. Dhotre Sanjay Shamrao and the Secretary (School Education and Literacy) HRD, Ms. Rina Roy.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has also made arrangements to telecast the event live on the web. The board will also be showing short films on the awardee teachers highlighting their work at the event. The board had earlier released the list of teachers who will receive the awards on the website of the board in August. The list includes Principals, Vice principals, PGT's and TGT’s. The awardees will be presented with a cash award of Rs. 50,000 and a Shawl.
